. TEvSTRUDAY'S LTST. The Third Wellington Military Service Board fiat in AYellington yesterday. Mr. 11. J. Beswick, chairman, presided, and with him were Mr. M. J. Mack and Mr. A. O'L. Considine. Captain P. Baldwin was tho military representative. Tho appeals of the following were adjourned sine <lie:-Uerbert Wilson, slaughterman, of Hastings; Richard Charles Davis, slaughterman, of Umslchurch; Harold M'Kinna, assistant lighthousekeeper, Cape Brett Lighthouse; Reginald Singer, slaughterman, ot l'etoiie. . ' .... , ■In the following cases leave till August 22 was granted—Frederick Albert Swiney, warehouseman, of Alpha Street, Wellington; Mai-tin D. Were, aerated water manufacturer, in the employ ci the Phoenix Aerated Water Co., Ltd.; John Larsen, clerk, in the employ ot Townseud and Paul, of Wellington; John Caradus, Second Assistant Land Registrar, Auckland; Christopher Samuel Bonasieh. eauitary drain-pipe flancer, of Abel Smith Street; Frederick Or. C. Fisher, mattressmaker. of Johnsonville; William Wilson, 30th Reinforcements, ]>eathereton. ' , Two conscientious objectors, David Victor Bateman and Frederick Charles Freeman, appealed. The board decided to dismiss their appeals, allowing appellants till August 22, and to recommend that each be drafted, to a noncombatant branch of the service. Hugh Clement- Russell, farmer, of Lower Hiitt, was granted leave till November 14. ' The appeal of Arthur Wilson, farmer, of .Tohnsonville. was adjourned pending medical examination of appellant. Henry John Tolley, electrician, of Kilbirne, was' granted' leave till September IS). John Saul, wharf labourer, failed to a.prear. and his nppwil was dismissed. Eugene Francis O'Sullivan, farmor. claimed that he was an Australian, i-.nd not liable for sprvice with the New Zealand Forcpfl.
