A SCALE OF ALLOWANCES.

The following scale of allowances for the New Zealand Forces Motor Service Corps is gazetted, and incidentally this name is given instead of that previously given to tho corns, "The New Zealand Forces ' Motor Reserve of Officers" ■ ■"When called out for duty, officers shall receive the following daily rates of pay:—

Lieut.-Colonel 15s. per day. Majors ;..... 12 S . a day. Captains 10s. a day. Subalterns. Bs. a day. Half rates-only will be paid for a tour of duty that does not exceed'three hours. 'In addition to pay of rank, each officer of tho Motor-car Section shall receive a running allowance according to tho olass of car used by him— (ft) Class "A." car, 20 h.p. or upwards, seating four, including driver; Id. ™>r mile r

(b) Class 'B' car, under 20 h.p., seating four, including driver: 3d. per mile. (c) Class "C" car, not less than 10 h.p., seating one or two in addition to uriver,: 2d. per mile. "An allowance of one ,pint of petrol per lior3e-powcr per hour shall be granted for each motor-boat when"callca out on duty. The allowance will be drawn only in respect of such motor-boat l ? as are ordered by the Officer Commanding tlio District.
