Willi a week still to go before llio session begins, very few outside member? have as yet come to Wellington. Oneof thu early arrivals is .Mr. T. B. Y. Scddon (Westland), who lias boon in town for some time, past. Another is Mr V. 11. Heed (Hay of Islands). .Sir Arthur Guinness is on his way to Wellington, and should arrive, to-day or on Saturday morning. Mr. Maxsoy is to arrive oil Tuesday next, nnd a meeting of the Keform party is to l» held on the snmo day. All sorts of speculations aro afloat as to the preciso turn that events are likely to tuko when Parliament moots on Thursday, but the general opinion seems to Ik that the House will adjourn until tho following day, after electing a Speaker on Thursday. It is assumed that tlio Governor's Speech will bo delivered on Friday, and tba.t, after notice has been given of the Address-in-Rcply, the Houso will adjourn until the following Tuesday. Mr. Mnssey's want of confidence motion in Hid Ward Administration, it is anticipated, will take the form of a proposed addition to the Addross-in-Reply.
