ADDRESS AT MILTON. (By Tolecranli.—Press Association.! Milton, December 1. Tho Coronation Hall was not largo enough to accommodato all who wanted to hear the Primo Minister's speech tonight. Many peoplo went away, . and hundreds stood throughout the incoting. The Mayor, Mr. King, occupied the chair. Beautiful lloral bouquets were presented to Lady Ward and Miss Ward by little girls dressed in white. Mr. M lunlay (the Liberal candidate) was also on tho platform, with over n scorc .of supporters of tlio Liberal party iu the Bruoo eleotoratc. , . . The Prime Minister, who was rooeivcd with hearty cheers, promised to accept tho Mayor's invitation to return to tho district after tho election. After dealing with borrowing and financial matters, Sir Joseph Ward touched oil other subjects on the lines of his previous addresses, and at the conclusion ot a lengthy speech lie was thanked for his address,' and Ihe meeting expresswl its confidence in him as (lm head of the Govcpnniout, nnd leader of the Liberal party. Only a few voices wero raised in opposition. An amendment expressing no confidence and n desire for a chango of Government was not seconded.
