THE LAMBING SEASON.
Tho present seison in tho Wairarapa has bscn exceptionally . favourable for lambing, and the death-rate from stornis has been practically nil. Notwithstanding this, some of the local stud breeders arp puzzled over the unsatisfactory manner in which their ewes are lambing. As their rams were turned out early, in the season, it was naturally expected that there would bo a. large proportion of lambs before the seeoiid week in September. The "Age" is informed that in some case.? tlio percentages are very small, and it is feared that totals in some of the stud flocks will work out badly.
