THE WELLINGTON CENTRE. Tlio adjourned meeting of the Wellington Bowling Centre was held at tho Wellington Bowling Chib's pavilion, Aro Street, last evening, Mr. W. H. Hueston was in the chair. Some discussion oro9e regarding tho proposed new Blue and White pennant scheme. Tho chairman explained that tho reason for suggesting a change was that several clubs had felt that they would not have any chanco of winning the senior pennant this year under tho present system. A dozen clubs had been circularised, and six replied stating that they wore against tho innovation, threo were neutral, and two were for it. Mr. J. Kinneburgh moved that the proposed innovation be not dealt with this season. The motion was carried. Mr. J. Kinneburgh moved that the senior pennants be played under the present system, with the exception that they be divided into two sections. This motion was also carried. A motion by Mr. Marquis to the effect that the definition of a "junior" bo a bowler who has not played for a longer period than two seasons previous to the present one was carried. It was decidcd (in view of its being such a success last season) that the "champion of champions match" be played again this season. In connection with tho tourney, Mr. Marquis moved that tht centre should provide a permanent trophy—Carried. It was further resolved that each club' should enter their singles champion for tho match, and that if he failed to com-■t-o bv March 5, tho runner-up be allowed to take his place. The To Hiwi Bowling Club havo decided to open tho season on Saturday, September .30.
