THE EXHIBITION.
GRAND BALL TO-NIGHT. There was a fair attendance of the public at the Coronation Exhibition last evening. The closing ceremonies will begin to-night when a grand ball is to bo jiold■ in the Stadium which has been especially prepared arid elaborately decorated for the purpose. The Exhibition has been a marked success in every way, and the spirit which has been shown i'll the management is due to bo reflected in the pleasant social function arranged for this evening. 'TO-MORROW'S CARNIVAL,' Tils Exhibition will be brought to a close to-morrow evening when the chief attraction will be a great fancy dress carnival in the Stadium. .£5 prizes are to bo given to the lady and gentleman who appear in tho most original costumes; ,£2 10s. for the second best: ,£1 10s. for the third best costumes. Tho carnival will conclude with a dance; At tho children's carnival to bo held in tho afterternoon .£7 worth of prizes are to be distributed. Watches are to be presented to every thousandth person passing through 1 110 turnstiles, and ,£'s is to be given to the person guessing tho figure nearest to llio total number who visit, the Exhibition during tho day. As on Saturday last free samples arc to be given away throughout tho. day by exhibitors.
An attraction nt tho Exhibition is the beautiful exhibit, of Mr. F. TV. Monthey, of Mount. Albert. It consists of art exquisite variety of Australasian shells th.it, have been worked into artistic designs bv tho exhibitor, consisting of photo frames, handkerchief boxes, and ornaments of many kinds. This exhibit should draw considerable attention from patrons — Advt.
