CURIOUS PHENOMENON.
COWS AND LIGIITNING. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. 1 June 8, 11.10 p.m.) Paris, Juno 8. During a thunderstorm lightning struck three cow-byres in villages in the Department of tho Loire. The whole of tho sixteen cows in the byres, which were lying down at the time, were killed, while those cows standing were unhurt.
