Cohen and Harkne.ss, who were granted leave of absence. The secretary (Mr. H. E. Nichollv) presided. Chairman Re-elected Unopposed, The re-election of 3Jr. li. Fletchrr ns cliainnan was proposed by Jlr. Jones, who saiil that Mr. l'lotchor had performed the duties in an excellent way, and was fully entitled (o a fecond year of ollicc, in accordance with the usual o-nur-tey extended to the chairman. Jfr. Daniell, in speonding the motion, said the board had had a strenuous year, and the chairman was thoroughly converEa;it with its affairs. The-' public had shown their confidence in him by awing him back to the board with a'thumpins; majority, and the board should ivelect. him to the chair as ;i matter of justice to themselves, as woll as to him. There being no other nominations, Mi\ Fletcher was declared elected, and look his scat at (he head of tho table. The chairman briefly thanked the members for his re-election, anil welcomed the old members who had been reeleclpfl, and alio the new members, especially those from the country. The •representation of the rural districts was largely increased, but he felt sure they would all work together, and there would be no issue of town vciv.is country. Committees Elected. The following were appointed a Sinking I'und Investment Committee:— Jle-srs. Tewsk-y, .Jones, Hnrkiicss, Fitzgerald, Trevor, Kenner, and the'chairman. The city and suburban members of (lie board were appointed ns a Wharves and Accounts Committee, in accordance with tho by-law. The; following were appointed a Legislation Committee: — Messrs. Jones, •31'Ewan, Hiudmar=h, Frcotli, Tcwsley, and the chairman. Accounts amounting to .£l2lO 9s. Id. were passed for payment.
