COURSING
A meeting of the Wellington Metropolitan Coursing Club was held nt the New Zealander Hotel on Wednesday night, Mr. Leslie J. Ell presiding. Mr. Thos. Burke was elected a vice-president of the club, and Mr. G. H. Donoghue was elected honorary slipper. It was decided to v;rite to Mr. Lopdell and ask him to officiate as judge at the club's meeting on Easter 'Saturday and Monday. Messrs. Leslio J. Ell, James J. O'Donoglme, and C. Schnuer were deputed to make tho necessary train arrangements for the Easter meeting. The secretary (Mr. J. J. O'Donoghue) reported that sixty hares are now in the club's enclosure at Wallacevillc, and that they are the strongest hares that have ever been in the enclosure. It was also reported that the custodian is training the hares for sporting use. A further meeting of the club will be held at the New Zealander Hotel next Monday at 8 p.m.
