FIRE AT MILTON.

LOSS ESTIMATED AT J7OO. (By Telegraph.pPrcss Association.) Dunedin, January 29. The front portion of an engineering Shop at Milton, occupied by Mr. Alexander M'Donald, was destroyed by firo yesterday afternoon. ( Mr. H'Donald was working in the rear part, and was not aware of tho fire until tho flames had a very strong h01d... Some machinery, which was destroyed, was insured for £200 in the State office, but Mr. Jl'Donald estimates his loss at .£7OO. The fire evidently spread from some rubbish which was set on fire by some unknown person.
