GLEN OROUA SCHOOL CHILDREN.

A CAPITAL RECORD. (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) Feilding, January 29. The Glen Oroua School, 18 miles from Feilding, which has just held its annual picnic, has some remarkable records. When the school was opened in 1903, the chairman of the committee (Mr. John Sanson) promised, that ho would give a silver medal to every pupil who made full attendance, with the result that, up to date, he has had to give 114 medals. Ono boy who lives over three miles from the school has won medals for- the whole period of eight years, and his sister and another pupil, have won medals for seven years. Over tho period of eight years the school has had an . average attenaanco of 93.1.

At tho picnic the chairman of the Wanganui Education Board (Jlr. Fred Pirani) complimented the school upon its records. .
