CLUB BURGLARIOUSLY ENTERED.
A VERY FAIR HAUL. (By Telegraph—Succial Correspondent! ' Palmcrston, January 29. Tho Manawatu Club, in Church Street, two or. three chains from the Square, was burglariously entered between closing timo on Wednesday night and reopening on Thursday morning, and tho thief go't away with two cash-boxes kept in a locked room. These boxes contained between .£25 and .£3O in cash, besides several cheques. It seems that tho burglars effected an entrance by way of the front door, which was found open on, Thursday morning. The police have the matter in hand, but up to the present no clue has been found as to the perpetrators.
