Some, quaint American stoves, of a pattern somewhat new to Wellington brought 255. ■ to 425. A great tankful .of.' candle-wicks (on • reels), 9351b. in all,, were bought lit 6Jd.' per lb.,.and some-bales of white ■paper (sheet), which was quite sodden, eold for 475. per bale...An iron enaniel bath (small size),. with a. mighty crack in it, realised £il 195., almost the price of a new one of the class. A case of choice English confectionery ,in a disreputably mastic condition, was ordered to be sent to the destructor, as.unfit for human consumption. In all, the goods >2ered realised between,,£6oo and .£7OO.
