Tho arrangement was that \\ ellmgton Club should play' two rinks from each of the other clubs, and tho result was that thero mustered oh the Wellington green tho cream of cach club'affiliated to''the centre. Despite the odds agaiiist it the strength of tho parent club prevailed to such, an extent as to show that its members 'aro collectively tho best of any club in the ccntro. The match ended in a clecisivo win for Wellington by 109 points—3s7 to 248. At the conclusion of tho game Mr. Grundy, the president of the Wellington Club, returned thanks to the ladies .who had graced the green with their presence, and to the visiting bowlers. In commenting on the scores, which proclaimed Wellington to ho tho winner by so largo a margin, ho said that the other clubs had hardly played up to their reputation. Ho hoped that they had one and.all enjoyed their games, and called for three cheers for tho visiting bowlers, which wore heartily given.
