Messrs. ' Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having held their monthly sale of wool, skins, hides! etc.,. at Paliher'ston North on Friday, when they offered a fair catalogue comprising 150 bales and sacks of wool, .1900 sheepskins, 500 hides and calfskins, and a quantity of tallow, horsehair, etc., to a large attendance of buyers. Prices were on a par with last sale's rates. Messrs. A. H. Atkinson and Co., writing under date March 6, report a good yarding ol pigs of fair quality, and a large entry of poultry, fruit, and general produce at' their last week's Feilding &ale. Pigs sold at rates about on a par with last week's quotations, porkers selling well. Fruit all round mado rather better value. Poultry sold , remarkably- well. Large consignments of peaches and pears havo again came to hand too late for Friday's auction. This necessitates selling during the week at prices considerably below Friday's auction value. Quotations:—Pigs: Weaners, ss. 6d. to 75.; slips and small stores, 9s. 3d. to 13s. Gd.; better sorts, up to 21s. Gd.; porkers, 245., 255., and up to 30s. Horses: Aged gelding, «£2. Poultry (at each)'; Booster chicks, lOd.; hens, Is. Gd., Is. 7d., Is. 3d., and up to ?s. Id. j small roosters, Is. ,• grown birds, to 2s. Id.; ducks, Is. 9d., Is. 10d., 2s.
