A shipment of sheep from Richmond Bay, Peloru3 Sound, to Potonc, was landed at tho Petone wharf yesterday morning by the Anchor steamer Alexander. Tho ICahii, which left for East Coast at 9.20 on Saturday morning, had to return to port at 2.50 in the afternoon, on account of the heavy sea running. She will leave again when tho weather moderates. Advice has been received in Wellington that the 6teamer Walkure is at present loading caso oil at New York for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin.
