EKETAHUNA
The Eketahuna electric lighting .scheme which has been hung up for somo .considerable, period, owing to tho tenders received for tho installation being far in excess of tho amount (£3000) sanctioned by tho ratepayers, is now to bo pushed on, tho Borough Council having decided to undertake the work itself. It is contended that tho installation can be carried out at the original estimate. Plant was yesterday cabled for. Mr. Mabin, who made the estimate, \Yill supervise the work.
