' R. A.' EDWIN. October 5. The attention of farmers and others is drawn to the sale of two dairy farms at Otaki, the property of Mr. G. H. Kingdon, advertised to be sold at auction by Messrs. Abraham and "Williams, Ltd., on Thursday, October 8. .The farms are situated three miles from the Otaki railway station, and consist chiefly of rich river deposit, well watered, fenced, aud subdivided; tho buildings are convenient, well arranged, and in first-class order. The beautiful climate enjoyed by • Otaki and. tho high fertility of the soil are so well known that as a farming locality Otaki needs no recommendation. Tho properties will be offered in tho Town Hall, Otaki, at 2 p.m. The West Coasters of Wellington are advised by advertisement in this issue to attend a meeting to.be hold at tho Hotel Cecil at 7.30 o'clock this evening to makfc arrangement for the annual reunion. Westport-Stocldon coal is advertised by the Wellington province agent, Samuel Brown, ■Ltd. This co:il will bo hero shortly, the official opening of the mine taking place, to-day. From reports received tho company lias an excellent, all-round coal, and although just opoiied large orders are'in hand for supplies in various parts of the Dominion. This coal will be stocked by all coal dealers.
