The District High School concert given hero on Thursday night was a most successful affair. The concert was held in tho Drill Hall, which was filled to tho utmost. Tho performance by tho infant division occupied tho.greater part of tho evening, and the different, items woro well given and received hearty applause. Tho second division, and third division gave chiefly exhibitions of drill and exercises. All woro good, and great credit is due' to the whole of the school staff for the splendid .manner in which they worked. The Mayor, made several presentations to.scholars who were not present at the annual distribution of prizes, and also to Josephine Dobby, dux of tho school. A presentation was made to Miss Roid, who leaves the district in a day or so. Three hearty cheers were given for Mr. Stevenson, headmaster, and the school staff.
