Very,, little interest is being taken in the forthcoming Town Board election, although it is understood that there will bo several now aspirants for public honours. It is expected that tho verdict for the half-holiday will 1)0 in favour of Saturday. Great preparations..are in progress for tho forthcoming , bazaar, to bo hold in October in aid of-tno Presbyterian manse fund. Tho work. of lopping tho trees on tho trianglo ,has been, completed, and gives tho town ,a well-kept appearance.
