THE DAIRYING OUTLOOK, MIXED PROSPECTS. Tho coming dairy season (says our Manawatu correspondent) will open with' an addition of several now milking sheds .and improvements generally to yards and surroundings in Manawatu and'l'.'eilding districts, so that it-is-plainly,. evident that the efforts of the dairy'inspectors have not been in vain. A fow> additional , machines havo also been installed.: ; : . Our Wairarapa correspondent says:— Judged oil a general inspection ,of tho dairy stock in Wairarapa and tho Bush Districts, and on the present condition 6f tho pastures, it is improbable that the dairy season will open under favourable auspices.-,. There has been a considerable mortality in, aged dairy cows, and many herds are in extremely poor condition. Feed is not by any means plentiful. If tho milk supplies aro larger at tho commencement of tho season than' thoy wero last year it will bo either because of increased herds .or because tho dairy farmers provided winter feod for their stock.
