Although the weather hero is fine, many families are suffering from influenza and bail colds. Several of the adjacent schools have had to close on account of the prevalent sickness. Tho debate between the Mutual Improvement Society and tho Woodvillo Debating Society proved interesting. The subject of debate was "The Power of the Pulpit v. the Press for the Public Good." Mr. Burnett acted as judgo, and gave his decision in favour of tho Debating Society, which supported the'power of tho Press..
