' ■ Tho following resolution was-also carried: —"That tho sccretnx.v bo instructed to write to the Postmaster-General and ask whether more attention cannot be given to Masterton's foreign moil service, and that tho following matters be pointed out. That mi -August 12' the Maitai arrived in Wellington at *11.25 p.m.. with tho Australian mails. These mails did not reach Masterton till p.m. on August 13, they having missed two trains, and taken 21 lmnrs to maeli Masterton from Wellington.
