Miss Viola Spencer, parachutist, ascended in a balloon at Ilkeston, Derbyshire. When she desired to descend, she was unable '.o dotach the parachute, and was compelled to retain hor porilous seat all night until the balloon dropped near Leicester. Sho nearly porisbed with cold.
