VINECAR FOR FRUIT-FLY.
A writer in the Rhodesian " Journal of Agriculture," who.conducted some indoor exIK'!. inputs for the trapping of fruit-fly, says he plaocd around a plate of. apples one vessel containing kerosene, one vessel containing whisky, and one with vinegar, and ono:wit)i water. After, twenty-four: hours there were two fruit-flies iii the. water, three in the kero- ' senei .folir in-tho whisky, and thirteen in the vinegar. This result was'more or less maintained, throughout, but the vinegar and wl'isky had to bo renewed from time to time.
