At .'Martinborough on Tuesday s night, Messrs. Pain: and Kershaw's old store, adjoining their new building, was totally destroyed by fire, tho origin being a mystery. Over £300 worth of damages was done to the new building—the most up-to-dato of its nature in-the Wairarapa , Valley—and into which tho firm woro just removing. . Their loss above the insuranco will ho heavy. Tho fire brigado lined out and rendered good work, /but the firo was too strong in command when observed.. »
