At a meeting of the S:M. Court on Thursday John Dineen, Truant Inspector, laid in-

formations against Mark Ayre, Alf. Winterburn, and John.Pohio, for failing to-send' their children to school the requisite 'number of times. The two first-named were fined 3s. each, no costs, and the latter, who had re.pcated warnings, 2s. and 7s. costs. Mrs. Wright' (Foxton) sued Antonio and Mary Lima for possession of a house, but the case was dismissed on the question of title. Heni Rei claimed from her son, Wirihana, £21, to which there was a counter claim of £34 ss. The latter case was dismissed, and £17 awarded in-the first, without costs. Isaao Ransfield claimed from Samuel Norrish one dray, valued at £16, but the case was awarded defendant, the Magistrate considering a sale had been effected. • Judgment'was given by default in the following cases-M.
