CHAMPIONSHIP AT WIMBLEDON. WILDING BEATEN IN FIFTH ROUND. 8Y TEKGBATH —FUES3 ASSOCIATION —COPTEIQIU London, Juno 28. Barrett beat the New Zealander Wilding in the'fifth round 'of the tennis championship at Wimbledon by 2—6, G—4, 6—4, 6 —o. At Wimblodon last year, Wilding was 1 nut out of tho championship in one of the earlior rounds,' being beaten by the other Colonial, N. E. Brookes (Victoria). Brookes wont right through, and, beating Gore in the final, won tho All England championship. _ H. L'. Dohorty, tho previous champion, did not defend tho titlo last year; nor does Brookes on this occasion. The Barrett mentioned in the cablegram is probably H. Roper Barrett, who figured in last year's contests. Ho mot Wilding in the Davis Cup, .and the New Zealander on that occasion won, I—6, 6—4, G—3, 7—5.
