Crabb, of Kimbolton, has intimated to tho leaders of tho Liberal party in Feilding that, in accordance with his promise, ho will not contest tho Oroua seat how that tho party's choice has fallen upon Mr. Owen Pleasants. THE TARANAKI SEAT. (BT TKLEGKAPH. —SPKCIAL COHItESPONDZXT.) New Plymouth, June 19. ' Mr. H. Okey,/M.P., addressed a' small meeting of his constituents ao New Plymouth to-night. He vigorously criticised the Government administration, and reviewed tho work of last session. Mr. Okey said he would oppose a proposal to increase the representation to enable certain South Island members to retain seats which had been lost under the Representation Commission's report. Ho announced that he would stand in the Opposition, interest at the General Election. A hearty vote .of thßnks' and confidence was carried at the end of the address. THE MASTEETON SEAT. [from our special CORRESPONDENT.] • Masterton, Juno 19. Mr. John Yarr, a, member of tho Masterton Borough Council, and a prominent figuro in local political circles,- has decided to contest, the Masterton seat at the general elections, as an Independent and Labour candidate.
