The Prime Minister to-day will bo at Gisborne. The Hon. J. Carroll is also at Gis-ber-ne, the Hon. ■ 11. M'Nab in Southland, and the remaining members of the Ministry in Wellington. His Excellency the Governor will take possession of Mr. Strang's residence at Palmerstoa North to-day. Detective Cameron, who has been on relieving duty at Christchurch for soitio time past, is'about to bo transferred back to Wellington. • Dr. Chappie, M.P., returned to Wellington, from the South, yesterday moriiing. The new member for Tuapcka has received, many congratulations on liis success at tho recent poll. The Hon. G. Fowlds will leave for Auckland on Tuesday next to attend the annual dinner of the Auckland' Chamber of Commerce. He will bo absent from Wellington only a few days. ?>lr. Leslie H Reynolds, who for several months has been located at Otira in connection with tho Arthur's Pass Tunnel, is at' present in Wellington. Mr. Reynolds proceeds to Wanganui on Monday to inspect the Harbour works in progress there. 1 from Wanganui he gees North to investigate and advi'ss upon harbour works at Wairoa and Gisborne, Mid shipping facilities at Toksmaru Bay! Mr., and Mrs. Fred. Graham, now performing at the Theatro Royal, will leave for. London by the Athenic on June 18. After spdnding some time in England, they will proceed to America, to visit their son, who is studying dentistry at Philadelphia, returning to Sydney in January next. Mr. Graham intends endeavouring to secure some new musical plays to introduce to New Zealand playgoers in 1910.
