Hawke s Bay-Association anil /the JV.Vv 1 of the Wellington Association, re the affiliation of the'new body, was'.', read.Mr. M'Villy, chairman of the local, Association, ' reported that he , had had . a conversation with the secretary of the new body (Mr: Jaeger) who was in Wellington. on Tu'esday. It was;explained to Mr. Jaeger that tho.Wel-" ' " lington Association wished, to assist rather ' than hinder the'ostablishment of the HawkeY Bay Association. It was expected that all , formalities would be .oompletedjri a day or _ two, and the new boijy would be affiliated.'-' The necessary permit was received from the Inspector of Police for the boxing tourney to.be held'at the Opera House on Juno 16 and 17. . . The secretary of the Palmerston North ; Boxing Association wrote, notifying , that all the members, of. his committee intended be-' ing .present at the championship ' contests next week. " Y , < It was decided that the value of. the tro- ; phies for'the boxing and wrestling contests' ; ■ be fixed at £3 3s. for .first, andl£l Is. for second.
