EKETAHUNA POULTRY SHOW.

LIST OF AWARDS. (bt TELEGRAPH.—SrECIAI, coruesfondekt) Eketahuna, June 11. Although the entries for the annual show of - the Eketahuna Association are fewer than those of fornier years,- the exhibits ato generally of An improved quality. From the remarks passed by. those interested in fancy breeds, however, it appears that the. trend is in favour of utility breeds, and it is evident that the. time is coming when this class of exhibit will gradually absorb the ' bulk of the interest in New Zeaknd poultry shows. At to-day's show the utility class was a big feature. Other features or the show were the exhibition of wyandottes," in which there were altogether just on 100 otitries. Leghorns were also a strong class. The large number of entries in both wyandottes and leghorns was probably due to 'the fact that exhibitors were competing for North Island championships., The show was opened by Mr. A. W. Hogg, M.P. , PRIZE LIST. (Judge, Mr. A. Palmer, Washdyke, Timaru.) \ Came. Red cock or cockerel.—J. Boyle, 2. Black red hen or pullet.—J. Boyle, 2. ; : Duckwihg, hen or pullet.—:J.
