QUARANTINE NOTES.
y? STOCK RELEASED. ■ Two straight-haired Berkshire boars and two sows, imported from England, were released from quarantine last Friday for Mr., C. A. .Whitmore ■ Monckton, of Glenorchy,' Feilding; also, for the same owner, a brindle and' white bulldog and two dachshunds, all imported from England. ■ Next Tuesday there will bo .released three shorthorn bulls from tho Sydney llgyal Show, imported by Messrs. Dalzell Bros., of iluntfr-, villc, and a Hereford bull,. also from the Roya. Show, 'imported by Mr. G. F! Moore, of Kni-lwi.' ? \ '■ A DOG STOBY. . | 'There is an affectionate bright little black spaniel dog on tho quarantine island open to accept a new owner. The present owner is Mr. G. P. Wright,-of Wellington, who had it sent over to him from Tasmania. By some irror of judgment, instead of being shipped, 'aboard, an inter-colonial steamer, the dog' ■'was sent by one of tho ocean-going steamers, i with the result that on arrival here lie had ■ to be quarantined for six months.
