SHANNON.
'Mrs. Headley Tickars ans family intend shortly to rcmovo to tho neighbourhood of Wellington. Mrs. Poison, of Wellington, is at present staying with Mrs. Moynihan. Mrs. Moynihan, sen., and Mrs. Frost, who have been staying with Mrs. M. Moynihan, aro going to Rotorua, after they leave Shannon. Mrs. -Frost has greatly improved in health sinco she camo to Shannon. Mr. M'Pherson,-who is now residing in Palmerston, will bo tendered a farewell at the Presbyterian Church social. There was a fully attended meeting of the Makerua Drainage Board last Tuesday. The weather hero has been warm and summorlike, with heavy falls of dow this week. There has been a' good growth of grass lately. Shannon senior football team play Hui Mai at Manakau on Saturday. Tho juniors meet Waikanae at Shannon.
