■ IS £180,000 GOING TO QUEENSLAND? The statement is scouted in Masterton . business circles (writes our Wairarapa correspondent) that £180,000 of Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa money has been subscribed for investment in Darling Downs property. There is no doubt that purchases of Queensland .land have been made by New Zealand farmers, but nothing near the amount stated has so far been forwarded from Wai- ' rarapa or Hawke's Bay. . As has been said bofore, a great deal will depend on the reports which will be brought back by New Zealanders who are at present viewing Queensland properties.
