BAZAAR AT THE HUTT.
A bazaar iu aid of Hie funds of tlie Catholic Convent School at the Lower Hutt was opened last evening in tho Hutt Town Hall. Hero the young men and maidens of tho district and their elders gathered in merry vein, emptying their, purses and spending a happy evening. In tho early portion of the evening tho Hutt Band played selections. outsidq the hall, and tho building' was packed when tho. opening .ceremony took place, 'l'lio bazaar'was formally' declared open by tho Hon. J. M'Gowan, who was introduced by tho' Mayor (Mr.' T. A. Poterkin), and Father La no and Mr. T. M. Wilford also spoke! There are three stalls —tho Hibernian, fancy goods, and " Dominion." Each is packed with goods. Tho bazaar will be open again this evening, and will run till Saturday night. To.-night iv number of fancy , dances will ,bo given and other entertainment provided. :
