A mooting of tlio Wellington .Centra of tho New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association was held last night, Mr. L. W. Ludwig presiding. * ■ Tho Napier Carnival Committeo intimated that the tinio for receiving entries for the swimming evdnts at tlio Carnival had been intended—for; the handicap events till February 29, and for the championship events, till March 7., ' It was decided that 'tlio programme of events for tho Annual Swimming Carnival of the Wellington Centre, to >. bo .held, on March 14, should bo as follows: —Schoolboy events, 50 yards and 100 yards; championship events, 100 yards and 440 yards; inter-' ■;cliib handicap 'events, '50 yards and .100 yards; diving competitions (1) neatest header, (2). fancy costumes, (3) comic diving; Dominion polo , championship and life-saving ovent. ' -Tho ago limit for. the schoolboy events was fixed; at under. 15 years on the dato of tlio event. _ . . ~ , Tho attention of members was drawn to tho fact that considerable laxity obtained in tlio matter of proper swimming costume, nnd it was decided that steps, bo takou to onforco tho rules referring to tho regulation dross. .
