Reasons are now stated for tho recent decision of tho Supreme Court of tho United States, which declared unconstitutional an Act passed by Congress prohibiting railroad companies engaged in inter-Stato commerce from discriminating against members of labour organisations in tho matter of employment. Tho Supremo Court based its decision on the ground that nobody can bo compelled against his will to retain another's services. Any legislation 'disturbing tho equality of omployers and omploycd in such matters would bo an interference with tho liberty of the subject.
