THE WANGANUI SHOW.
FINE WEATHER AND LARGE ATTENDANCE. A SUCCESSFUL GATHERING. (From our Special Reporter.) Wanganul, November 13. The show was favoured with fine weather, and tlio- attendance is large. Horses are good; cattlo fair, and shoop uneven. There was a closo fight for'the Rqmnoy ram championship between Mr. 10. Short's latest importation and Mr. A. V. Collins's ram, locally bred by Mr. B. J. Riddiford. Finally, tlio local article wa3 awarded the honour. The judge, Mr. D. Mungar, said ho would like to see Mr. Collins's ram meet Mr. George AVhcelor's Royalist, the national champion. Ho is a great admiror of Royalist, but thinks Mr. Wheelqr's other sheep, Loyalist, the best sheep for money purposes in New Zealand. Tho industrial section is unusually big. The carving is exceptionally fine, and the cookory classes arc keenly 'contested. Regrots aro expressed that the Department could not see its way to exhibit the named flax plants and fibre.
