AUCKLAND RACING CLUB'S SPRING 'MEETING. SECOND DAY. RACEHORSE DROPS DEAD. (BY TELEGBAI'H—IMIESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, November 13. Tlio Auckland Racing Club's spring mooting was continued to-day -in fino weather and in tho presence of a fair attendance. All the events were well contested, the City Handicap proving a particularly fine race. In the steeplechase three horses came to grief—All Fours, Inniskillon, and Khama— the first-named being well in the lead at the time, while Inniskillen also, when ho fell, was going strong in front. None of the jockeys was seriously hurt. At the closo of the race a somewhat dramatic incident occurred. Nor'-wost had won after a game struggle, and horse and rider wore receiving tho greatest ovation of the day when, in tho midst of it, Nor'-west dropped dead. The amount passed through the totalisator was £9851 10s., making a total of £21,620 for tho two days. Tho results aro ns follows:—
