4'ho : annual, meeting of the South • OtiigoT Bowling Centre was held in the Stirling Athenaeum Hull on Wednesday afternoon. Mr W. Boyd (vice-pre- | sident) occupied the chair in the unavoidable absence of .the president, Mr A. E. Bragg. There were also pres-ent-Messrs W. Moore and It. Robertson (Milton), Jas. Esson, A. Duckworth (Stirling), and the Secretary (Mr J, ,G. Henderson). Report and Balance Sheet. The annual report read by the secretary, gave a complete resume of the pust year's work, and showed that the season hud been very satisfactory. 11 concluded : "The delegates will have one very important subject to discuss, namely the proposed alteration of the annual tournament held under the auspices of the JS.Z. Bowling Association. Mr Moore moved that application be made to the N.Z. Association for permission to hold the Sentre's annual tournament on the usual dates—lst, 2nd, and 3rd January—Seconded by Mr Esson and carried. A resolution from the retiring executive protesting against the N.Z. Association's proposed alteration of the date of the annual tournament was approved of.

It was decided to continue the .system of friendly matches, 'members saying that the past year had been very enjoyable. Each club met nearly every one of the other clubs, and the weather was gjood when they played, tive.
