MASONIC.

The installation and investiture of oflicers of Lodge Clutha took place on Wednesday evening, there'being u good attendance of local brethren, large representation of Grand J-OHge officers and other lodges. The occasion was celebrated by a social in the Oddfellows' Hall, the members of the craft being accompanied by their lady friends. A short but very entertaining programme was provided Bros. J H. Guest and . J. B. JicGlymont, Harris, and H. W. Kiernan, and Miss Clark contributed songs, Bro. J, Ramsay a violin selection, and Wor. Bros. W McElrea and Watts recitations, while Bro. Edwin Booth gave some mystifying 'feats in the art of Legcrde : . main. Thero was a line ( set supper in the Dalton Hall at which about 120 sat down, Messrs Ritchie Bros, providing a good spread. The dance that followed was attended by 50 couples. Bro. Lawson proved a capable M.C. and the music was supplied by Messrs Guest (piano) and Ramsay (violm) with extras by Misses Clark, McCorley, F. ..Guest and, Mrs Bowcott. & very enjoyable gathering -was brought to a. oioae about V<4 past two.,
