Burwood recountresult today
Cr Mike Stevens will know today whether he will hold his Christchurch City Council Burwood seat. The result bf the recount of votes in the Burwood ward is expected to be announced by the Christchurch City returning officer, Mr Max Robertson. The recount by the District Court began on December 7. The result was conveyed yesterday to the judge responsible, Judge Erber. He was to make an order notifying the council, through Mr Robertson, of the result Cr Stevens holds his seat by just two votes from the man who sought the. Court recount, Canterbury Labour’s- Mr Arthur - Adcock. Cr he would-accept-the result whatever it was. “I’ve said that all along.. We (he and Cr Carole Evans) did very/well as two independents in the campaign,” he said.
