Indian cricket tour schedule announced
NZPA-Reuter Bombay Schedules for tours to Pakistan, England and New Zealand have been approved by the Indian cricket board. India’s programme will open with the triangular oneday tournament against Pakistan and West Indies in Sharjah from October 12. India will then play three tests and five one-day matches in Pakistan from November 15 to December 22, before touring New Zealand from January 18 to March 11. The England tour starts on June 23 and ends after the third and final test on August 28. The full tour programme is: Sharjah Cup: October 12: India v. West Indies. October 13: India v. Pakistan. October 14: Pakistan v. West Indies. October 16: India v. West Indies. October 17: Pakistan v. West Indies. October 20: India v. Pakistan. Pakistan tour: November 15: arrive Karachi. November 16-18, Karachi: three day match. November 20-22, Rawalpindi: three-day match. November 24-29, Karachi: first test. December 1-6, Lahore: second test. December 8-13, Faisalabad: third test. December 15, Peshawar: first one-day international. December 17, Gujranwala or
Sialkot: second one-day international. December 19, Lahore: third one-day international. December 21, Hyderabad: fourth one-day international. December 22, Karachi: fifth one-day international. New Zealand tour: January 18, arrive Auckland. January 22-25, New Plymouth: v. Board President’s XL January 27-30, Dunedin: v. Otago. February 2-6, Christchurch: first test.
