IEP into Cummins
NZPA-Reuter Washington InduSrial Equity (Pacific) (lEP) said it holds a> per cent stake in Cummins Engine Co Inc and in’ends to Scott-Rodino Act clearance to buy up to 25 per cent of the C °About y 7o per cent of lEP is held by Brierley Investments. Cummins is a Columbus, Indiana-based engine and turbine m in U ? C fili^ r with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Industrial Equity said it Holds the shares for investment and has no current plans for the company. lEP, based in Hong Kong, said it bought 578,50° shares of Cummins’ common stock outstanding between June I_and July 25 for prices ranging from JU557.35 to JU569.11. lhe purchases brought its holdings to 1,011,300 common shares, according to its SEC filing.
