Eaton’s trial delayed
NZPA Auckland A former Kinetic Investments, Ltd, director, Michael James Eaton, aged 29, will not face a jury until February 5 next year.
Eaton, who is on bail,
appeared in the District Court at Auckland yesterday to set a trial date, after denying six charges of making false statements, five of theft by failing to account and two of theft by misappropriation.
His lawyer said the police had gathered more evidence against him which had not yet been seen by the defence and the trial would have to be delayed.
Eaton was remanded on bail by Judge Kerr.
