Adelaide Festival

Fringe performers are invited to take part in the .1990 Adelaide Festival Fringe. The festival, held from February 23 to March 18 is the largest and most eclectic in Australia. It is recognised as a major open access forum for new and developing arts. In 1988, 213 organisations representing more than 1200 artists presented 260 productions and exhibitions as part of the Fringe. More than 550,000 attendances at indoor events were estimated for both the Fringe and Adelaide Festival.

The Fringe presents all art forms: drama, dance, visual art, comedy, cabaret, music, multicultural arts and community events. Christchurch City Council has been sent a few application forms for the festival. They are available from Linda Musson, 791-660, ext. 765. i it i
