Games sponsorship

The parents of New Zealand’s 1990 Commonwealth Games athletes will be able to attend the Games, after a sponsorship was announced yesterday. The chairman of Dominion Breweries, Ltd, Mr Lindsay Ferguson, said in Wellington that his company would provide transport, tickets and clothing for athletes’ parents for the Games in Auckland during January and February next year. More than 200 couples would be eligible for the sponsorship.
