Garden rubbish
Sir,—lt really is amazing the resistance so many people can show to mulching leaves and their strange desire to burn garden “rubbish,” quite contrary to Mother Nature, who is not wasteful of anything, inclusive of leaves. I wonder what S. L. Donaldson (May 30) would have done in the Garden of Eden — burnt and destroyed valuable natural mulch and compost?— Yours, etc., ISABEL WITTY.
